Gemma Koomen works on her drawings by hand, first in gouache, then in ink and sometimes in colored pencil. Her aim is to capture the magic of small everyday moments, the joys of childhood, to open a small door to happiness and peace. It was when her first daughter was born that she reconnected with drawing and the child she was herself, gradually leaving a job as a photographer and web designer to become a freelance artist. Her love of nature is also a great source of inspiration.
