Gemma Koomen works on her drawings by hand, first with gouache, then with ink and sometimes with coloured pencil. She tries to capture the magic of the small moments of everyday life, the joys of childhood to open a small door to happiness and peace. When her first daughter was born, she reconnected to drawing and to the child she was herself, gradually leaving a job as a photographer and web designer to become a freelance artist. The love of nature is also a great source of inspiration for her.
